The Bar Book's story began as a personal quest for discovery and connection. As Michael was nearing retirement from the Army, he found himself curating a list of bourbons, whiskeys, and tequilas he enjoyed, only to realize that no existing mobile app offered the features he needed to track and expand his growing collection. Meanwhile, his wife, Dolly, a fellow Army veteran and now a civilian lawyer, brought her more refined palate and a love for exploring new wines and spirits to the journey. Together, they set out to create a solution that didn't just catalog drinks but truly personalized the experience of drink discovery. Drawing inspiration from the traditional "bar book" used by bartenders to record their creations, they developed The Bar Book as a modern tool for both seasoned connoisseurs and curious newcomers. This app was built to simplify the process of finding new drinks, offering recommendations based on each user's unique taste profile. The Bar Book’s mission is to connect people with beverages they’ll love, while also supporting small and local producers in reaching a broader audience. What began as a personal search for the perfect drink evolved into a passion project aimed at revolutionizing how people explore and enjoy alcoholic beverages.
