St. Luke Lavender Whiskey Review

A whiskey that walks you through a lavender field.....

Opening Pour — Our First Sip Story

Recently, we cracked open St. Luke Lavender Whiskey, and let me tell you… we went through every stage of emotional processing you can imagine.

First, the backstory: this bottle was a gift. Now, a gifted whiskey usually means one of two things:

  1. They love you and wanted you to try something special.
  2. They secretly want to watch you drink something floral and question your life choices.

The cork popped, we poured a dram, and instantly the room shifted. Suddenly, it smelled like a lavender field hosting a meditation retreat… sponsored by a whiskey brand. Interesting? Yes. Comforting? Maybe. Concerning? Slightly.

That first sip didn’t tiptoe in—it marched. Full lavender bloom. No warmup. No easing you into it. Just straight, aromatic intensity. For a moment, we genuinely wondered:

“Are we reviewing a whiskey… or setting intentions before bedtime?”

But then, something changed. The second sip softened. The honey warmth crept in. The oak settled. And before we knew it, St. Luke Lavender Whiskey had gone from “What is happening?” to “Hold on… this is actually kind of good.”

Some bottles punch you in the face.
This one gently tucks you into bed, spritzes the pillow, and whispers encouragement.

And honestly? That’s part of the fun.

Flavor Run — What St. Luke Lavender Whiskey Really Tastes Like

Once we got past the initial “floral uppercut,” this spirits review turned into something far more interesting — a whiskey with real personality, a bold point of view, and a flavor profile that’s hard to forget.

Flavor Fingerprint™ Breakdown

Lavender (obviously):
Bright, dominant, unapologetic. If lavender had an ego, this would be it.

Honey:
A soft sweetness that rounds out the floral notes and adds warmth.

Caramel & oak:
Your classic whiskey backbone — the familiar comfort that says, “Yes, I am actually whiskey.”

White flowers & spice:
You get floral essence without falling into perfumy territory.

Finish:
Lingering lavender → fading sweetness → subtle oak and spice.

This is a bottle that knows exactly what it wants to be — and isn’t afraid to commit.

How It Drinks

Neat:
Full lavender bloom. Complex, daring, surprisingly layered.

On ice:
The floral intensity eases and the honey comes forward.

Cocktails:
This is where the bottle shines. Pairs beautifully with citrus, honey, herbal liqueurs, ginger, berry syrups, or anything bright and aromatic.

Think:
✔ Lavender Whiskey Sour
✔ Lavender Gold Rush
✔ Floral Highball
✔ Honey-Lavender Old Fashioned
